Instead of building a new garden from scratch, the project implements the necessary elements for both birds and people, respecting the park’s existing layout and financial constraints.

Under the large trees, a variety of shrubs—both large and small—were added to provide birds with hiding spots. Also, Bushes with dense branches and leaves provide birds with a comfortable place to rest.

Oak logs were placed on the slopes to collect fallen leaves and keep the paths clear.Over time, the gathered leaf layers become a refuge for small creatures and natural seed beds.

A rain pantry was also installed, serving as a shelf to hold water for birds to drink and, during the harsh winter months, to offer seeds and other food.

Along the garden’s edge, several low and comfortable benches were placed to allow visitors to enjoy views of the large lake.

해당 프로젝트는 새로운 정원을 만드는 대신, 기존 녹지의 형태와 예산을 고려해 사람과 새를 위해 필요한 최소한의 요소로 조성하였습니다.

기존의 큰 나무 아래에 은신처와 다른 나무로의 길목 역할을 할 가지가 많고 잎이 빽뺵한 다양한 크기의 덤불이 놓입니다.

덤불 사이에는 빗물을 모으고 겨울철에는 씨앗 등의 먹이를 제공할 수 있는 선반(rain pantry)이 숨어있습니다.

경사면에는 참나무 통나무를 놓아 떨어진 낙엽이 산책로로 흘러드는 것을 줄이고 모인 낙엽층이 작은 생물들의 은신처이자 씨앗 저장고가 되도록 합니다.

녹지의 가장자리에는 낮은 벤치를 여러개 두어 지나가던 이들이 호수를 바라보며 쉬어갈 수 있도록 합니다.

사람과 새, 작은 생물들은 가까이에서 녹지의 경계를 함께 공유하며 서로를 존중하며 머무릅니다.
